Baskets of treats have become an Easter tradition - but does it have to be eggs? Easter celebrates rebirth and resurrection, symbolised by Eggs but in modern times we tend to put other treats in our baskets. There are all kinds of things you can choose, from practical to luxury, it's really up to you.
 

I always like to have a Book to read over the holiday, the weather at Easter isn't always good so it's nice to have something you can do indoors. Music and Films fall into the same category, you will always find something that everyone enjoys - there's such a wide choice. You could even put a game in a youngster's basket - it helps keep them occupied whilst you sort out the rest of the festivities.

For someone extra special there is always Jewellery, those little bits of glitter and sparkle that we enjoy so much, or luscious toiletries so they can have a pamper session. Pretty accessories always go down well too, maybe a scarf  to smarten up your Easter outfit.  Beautiful Flowers and Easter Lilies always seem to gladden your heart as well.

If you a are like me, I love to get crafty bits and pieces crafty bits and pieces, the sort of thing I wouldn't buy for myself - a piece of special fabric, some paints or pencils, some embellishments for my scrapbooking, Easter stamps or a Sizzix dye.

Another idea is something like Movie or Concert Tickets, a treat you can enjoy together when the holiday is over. Teenagers seem to like this, and you can have a quiet night in whilst they have a noisy night out

Luxury Munchies are good as well, all those little treats that you don't have often but are delicious when you do. There is one thing you always have to put in an Easter Basket and that is a little bit of Chocolate, a tiny egg or a little bunny - just something to leave a sweet taste in your mouth and a smile on your face.

Of course there are those of us who just have to have chocolate, and if you are going to have chocolate you might as well have the best - and there are some wonderful Chocolate Easter Gift Baskets around that are just stuffed full of the very best - and you deserve the best don't you...
