Easter and Chocolate
Easter and Chocolate go together like Strawberries and Cream in our modern world. Mostly we have Chocolate Eggs and Bunnies both of which come from the Northern European legends of Eostre and her Hare. Wherever it came from the two are now synonymous and we look forward to the rich, sweet taste of the Easter Treats.
More and more people turn
to the so-called gourmet chocolates which are richer in Cocoa Solids and
contain less sugar, both because they are healthier and they taste much
better. Once they were an expensive luxury but they are now much
more affordable and they are generally kinder to the producers as well,
many of whom were taken advantage of in the past by the big
manufacturers. Here you will find our choice of the best
chocolates we can find - and a few ideas and recipes if you want
something extra special.

Chocolat are probably my personal favorite - their chocolate is
lush, dark and rich - it melts on your tongue with a sensuous sweetness
that cannot be equalled.
Long regarded as one of the finest chocolate manufacturers Ghiardelli produce a range of sumptuous delights that are legend. The famous Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco is the inspiration for this beautiful 'Greatest Hits Basket' from the famous chocolatier. It's a celebration of their greatest creations, including chocolate bars in several flavours, a gift box of 9 chocolate truffles, chocolate squares, chocolate mints, hot cocoa mixes, and two delicious 3 ounce chocolate bars.
